Privacy policy

This policy matches the scripts this site actually loads. The site loads Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra by default; the cookie banner tells you so and lets you turn them off. The services below may contact their delivery and measurement hosts listed in this policy.

Lichii mark

Who is responsible

The editors of lichii.xyz are the controller for this website. Contact [email protected]. We do not operate the Lichii emulator or Nintendo services.

Default load, and how to turn it off

On a first visit there is no stored choice, so we treat analytics and advertising as granted: Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and the two Adsterra units start on the first page view, together with the page itself. The banner still appears on that first visit. It is notice and a way to withdraw, not a gate.

Pressing Reject stops the Clarity recorder and the Adsterra units, sets Google consent signals to denied, stores the denied choice for 180 days and reloads the page to terminate already-running vendor code. Subsequent page views skip all three vendor loaders. Pressing Accept restores the default. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner so you can change the choice at any time. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we treat that as Reject and do not show the banner.

What loads, and what it stores

GA4 uses www.googletagmanager.com for its library and www.google-analytics.com for measurement. The consent snippet in the page sets advertising storage to denied until the default grant is applied, and it keeps analytics_storage granted on a first visit. Reject updates all four Google consent signals to denied and a page reload terminates active vendor code. The saved choice gates GA4, Clarity and Adsterra on later page views. Clearing site data for lichii.xyz removes both localStorage keys and the banner can appear again.

Personalised advertising: Adsterra and its partners may use cookies to choose ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, Your Online Choices; Adsterra describes its own processing at adsterra.com/privacy-policy. Reject on this site also stops the units, but it does not delete cookies another site already set.

Data choices: this website uses the default-load behaviour described above. Accept records an explicit choice to keep these services enabled; Reject disables them. A first-page request may already have reached a vendor before Reject is pressed.

Retention: the consent choice expires from our logic after 180 days, then the banner can show again. Vendor retention follows their policies and service settings; no site-specific vendor retention audit has been completed. We do not run a server-side account, so we do not hold a profile.

Your rights: email [email protected] to ask what we hold, to object, or to ask us to correct a page. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. If you are in the EEA or UK, the controller is the site editor named above and transfers rely on the vendors' standard contractual clauses.

Changes: we update the date on this page when the vendor list or our data practices change.

FAQ

Do analytics and ads load before I click Accept?

Yes. With no stored choice, Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra load on the first page view. The banner explains this; Reject turns them off and remembers the choice for 180 days.

Which localStorage keys does the site use?

lichii.consent stores the choice and timestamp for 180 days. lichii.adbar.closed remembers that you hid the floating Adsterra bar.

Does a video load YouTube immediately?

No. The player appears only after you press Play, and it uses youtube-nocookie.com.

Are adult ads enabled?

No. The Adsterra website is configured with adult ads off, and only a Native Banner and a Social Bar are placed.
