Set up Lichii
The project quick-start is the source for these steps. Menu names were inherited from Eden, so your window may still say eden somewhere. If a label differs, follow the screen you have.
This site does not host keys, firmware, or game files, and it does not explain where to download them. The steps assume you already have dumps from a console and games you own.
Before the first window
- Windows: install the latest Visual C++ redistributable, then unzip and run lichii.exe. Without that runtime the app can fail to open at all.
- Linux AppImage: chmod +x, on glibc 2.39 or newer (Ubuntu 24.04, Fedora 40, Debian 13, Arch). The tar.gz package needs Qt 6 and the system libraries named in the release notes.
- macOS: Apple silicon and macOS 15 or newer. The app is not notarized. First launch is a right-click Open, or xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine on lichii.app.
Keys, firmware, games, controller
The first start shows a missing decryption keys dialog. Choose OK to close it. Then use Tools > Install Decryption Keys and pick your prod.keys file. A successful install is the dialog staying gone on the next launch.
Install firmware with Tools > Install Firmware, either From Folder or From ZIP. The firmware version should then show under Tools.
Add games by double-clicking the main window and choosing the folder that holds them. They should appear in the list.
Controllers are under Emulation > Configure > Input. Set the buttons, then OK.
A portable data folder is a directory named user next to the program. Logs are under File → Open Lichii Folders → Log Folder → eden_log.txt. The log name still says eden because the project kept that filename.
What build 93 changes for a new config
New global configurations, not existing ones, get FSR1 with softer sharpening, Fast GPU, GPU video decoding, asynchronous presentation, and ordinary asynchronous shader compilation.
Ocarina of Time plugins: Max Resolution defaults on from build 83, and Dark's Dynamic FPS defaults on from build 88. When you judge Dynamic FPS, leave CPU Clock on Normal.
After you play and stop a game, a right-click Submit compatibility report sends the latest session only. It does not upload the log by itself. That flow arrived in build 93.

Why does the window say eden?
The README says menu and folder names were inherited. Treat the documented menu path as the authority when the label differs.
Do I need an internet connection?
The quick-start lists a network connection among the prerequisites, alongside your own firmware, keys, and games.
Where is the log?
File → Open Lichii Folders → Log Folder → eden_log.txt.
